Students–Post Your Daily Writing Here!

Filed under: Main Page — dailytopic at 3:27 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2009

The WritingFix website features a very popular “Daily Prompt Generator” for keepers of journals and writers notebooks.  Both students and adult writers from around the world check in daily to find inspiration.  You can access this tool directly here: http://writingfix.com/classroom_tools/dailypromptgenerator.htm

Every day, hundreds of classrooms log in and have students write to prompts they find at WritingFix’s prompt generator.  In February 2009, we began this blog for both students to share strong writing samples that were inspired by the prompts at the WritingFix website.  Here, writers may post writing, and they may also comment on other writers’ submissions.

Because this blog is visited by both student writers as well as adults, we enforce the following three rules when posting here:

  1. In front of the writing you are sharing, please be sure to post the prompt that inspired the writing.
  2. Please only share one piece of writing you were inspired to writer per week.  We DO have limited space here; choose your favorite writing, if you are a daily writer.
  3. This is a blog that both students and writers will review…inappropriate content will not be approved.

Please type the prompt you wrote to…and paste (or type) your writing into the “leave a comment” box at the very bottom of this Blog page.

Each Sunday, newly submitted writing from the past week will be approved and posted.

Thank you for using our website!  Write on!
